Toronto police probe hospital room theft
Toronto police are asking for your help with an investigation after a woman was robbed while lying on her death bed.
On Tuesday, two men entered Toronto East General Hospital at 825 Coxwell Avenue and started going from floor to floor at 8 p.m.
It’s alleged the men entered the palliative care unit and went into the room of an elderly woman who was unconscious.
The men allegedly stole the woman’s jewellery. The victim was in critical condition and had died when police arrived.
Police say about $7,000 in jewellery was stolen from the woman.
The suspects are described as white males between 20 to 30 years of age.
The first suspect was about five foot nine inches tall with short, dark-brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black leather jacket, a black and white striped shirt and white running shoes.
The second suspect had a shaved head. He was last seen wearing a fedora-style hat and a dark jacket.
